A root canal is a canal, which runs from the base of the tooth’s root to the middle of the crown. The root canal carries the pulp (a network of blood and nerve cells), which brings the tooth to life. Root canal treatment is a treatment of repairing and saving a tooth which has badly become infected or injured. In simple terms, root canal treatment is the removal of the infected soft tissue within the tooth. Also, the replacement of the infected tissue by an artificial inert ‘filing’ material. It is professionally called an Endodontic Treatment. The nerve of the tooth gets damaged due to many reasons.
